WWE Raw (10/7/24) Results: Sami Zayn Challenges Gunther For WWE World Title, Xavier Woods Faces Jey Uso

On Monday, October 7, 2024, WWE presented its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on the USA Network.

After 12 years, WWE Raw will be a two-hour program starting tonight and continuing until at least the end of the year as the show wraps up its tenure on the USA Network.

Jey Uso Makes First Successful WWE IC Title Defense On WWE Raw, Gets Speared By Bron Breakker

This week's episode will feature Sami Zayn challenging Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Xavier Woods will also try to capture his first singles Championship as he challenges Jey Uso for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Also, Seth Rollins is scheduled to appear, and Pete Dunne and Sheamus will try to sell their issues in a "Good Ol' Fashioned Donnybrook."

- Sexyy Red kicked off the show and danced in the ring

- WWE Bad Blood highlight package airs.

- CM Punk kicked off the show with a promo from the stage.

- CM Punk claimed that he was too hurt to know if he was going to be around in the future. He thanked his fans and his haters for keeping him going. He said to keep doubting him and that he would like to say he would see them soon, but he's not sure. Seth Rollins came out, and there was a tense moment between them.

- Seth Rollins says he's shocked at how things have changed since he's been gone and called out Cody for teaming with Roman. He says he wants to kick CM Punk's ass when he comes back. He called out Bronson Reed for a future match and said this time, he'd be ready for him.

* WWE Intercontinental Championship: Jey Uso (c) def. Xavier Woods

- Xavier Woods refused to shake Uso's hand and then argued with Kofi Kingston about it. Bron Breakker came out and hit Uso with a Spear. Xavier tried to talk Kingston out of helping him, but he did anyway and got Speared. Breakker even attacked Xavier.

- A Rhea Ripley vignette aired, saying that Raquel Rodriguez delayed the inevitable future beating for Liv Morgan.

- Another viking rune vignette airs

- Cody Rhodes is shown walking backstage. There are various technical difficulties during this segment.

- A vignette airs for the upcoming Sheamus versus Pete Dunne match.

- Backstage, The Miz was talking to Karrion Kross. R-Truth shows up and asks Miz why he's not responding to his texts. Miz reveals that they're no longer a team for real. Truth gets upset. Miz challenges into a match for next week.

* Good Ol' Fashioned Donnybrook: Sheamus def. Pete Dunne

- Raquel Rodriguez arrived at the arena alongside Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. Morgan agreed to accept Ripley's win at Bad Blood via DQ, but she still held the championship, as did Dom and Rodriguez. That implies she was the only person to win despite losing. Redmond asked Rodriguez whether she was officially in Judgment Day. They ignored her and left.

- Ava met with Adam Pearce in the back. Ethan Page entered and introduced himself to Pearce. Page lamented that Punk had lost him the NXT Championship and asked him to do something about it. Pearce said Ava was the one who appointed Punk as the referee. Sexy Red appeared. Page was ready to shake her hand when she stated that Trick Williams had whopped his ass.

* Lyra Valkyria, Natalya, Zelina Vega, Kayden Carter & Katana Chance def. Pure Fusion Collective (Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark) & Unholy Union (Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre)

- WWE Champion Cody Rhodes stared down Gunther on the ramp.
