WWE Raw (12/9/24) Results

- Gunther opened the show. His promo was quickly interrupted by Finn Balor. Gunther tells Balor that he was once the best in the world... For one night only. However, he remains the best in the world for thousands of days. Gunther says that Finn Balor is not on his level. Balor, flanked by Carlito, JD McDonagh, and Dom Mysterio hit the ring to attack the World Heavyweight Champion. However, Damian Priest came down and assaulted Judgment Day. Gunther eventually started attacking Priest, leading to Judgment Day getting the advantage and standing over both of them.

- Adam Pearce announced that Damian Priest was being added to the World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Also, War Raiders will get another shot at the World Tag Team Championship next week with Judgment Day barred from ringside.

* The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar) & The Miz def. Wyatt Sicks (Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis)

- Paul Ellering came back and threw powder in Uncle Howdy's face leading to Karrion Kross' pinfall victory.

- CM Punk was interviewed by Jackie Redmond. To her credit, Jackie Redmond immediately asked about the favor CM Punk had requested of Paul Heyman. He says now is not the time to discuss that and reiterates that he and Paul go back a long way. Punk talked about Seth Rollins. He claims he "shielded" Rollins from being fired and commended him for stepping up after Punk walked away, but now the starter is back, and the second-string guy can sit on the bench.

* Liv Morgan def. Dakota Kai

- Pure Fusion Collective's Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler came out to interfere in the match and attacked Dakota afterward. She was saved by IYO SKY and Kairi Sane. Morgan hits IYO with ObLIVion.

- Drew McIntyre's promo was a backstage vignette. He's pissed off with everyone that teamed with Roman Reigns because nobody learned their lessons. He says that's when he knew he was going to take out Sami Zayn and Jey Uso. He's realized he can't change the past. But he can change the present and the future.

- Jey Uso's not medically cleared yet.

- Seth Rollins is coming out next. Tiffany Stratton was shown backstage talking to Adam Pearce. Remember, the transfer window is open in WWE.

- A recap is played of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turning on Big E. Cody Rhodes is then shown stepping out of Adam Pearce's office. Cody runs into Xavier and Kofi and tells them they should be ashamed of themselves.

- Seth Rollins comes out. He tells his side of the story with CM Punk. He says he called CM Punk when Punk walked out but Punk never got back to him, because if you didn't quit your job then you were an enemy in his eyes. Rollins bragged about being able to Main Event WrestleMania when CM Punk never did. Sami Zayn came out. He apologized for assuming that Rollins was the one who attacked Jey Uso last week. He says the situation with Punk makes Rollins like Drew McIntyre and he wants Rollins to rise above that. They squashed their beef and Sami Zayn says he will fight Drew McIntyre at Saturday night's Main Event. McIntyre attacked Sami on his way up the ramp.

* Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament: Lyra Valkyria def. Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile

- New Day is interviewed by Jackie Redmond about what happened last week. They don't like her line of questioning so they take the camera from Stu the cameraman and go out to address the audience. They never say anything of substance because the audience just sits there and boos very loudly. They did, however, get to say that they could have attacked Big E physically and they did not.

* Anything Goes: Rhea Ripley def. Raquel Rodriguez

- Liv Morgan came out and jumped Ripley. IYO SKY came out and evened the odds. Ripley won after hitting Raquel with Riptide through a table. At the end of the show, both SKY and Ripley were holding up the Women's World Championship which led to an awkward moment between the two of them.
