WWE Raw 6/29/20 Results: 24/7 Title Match, Mixed Tag Team Action & Andrade/Angel Garza Have Issues

Rikishi: I Think Bronson Reed Is A Good Addition To The Bloodline

- The show starts with an already occurring brawl between Sasha Banks, Bayley and Asuka during what was supposed to be the contract signing. Samoa Joe gets WWE officials to break everything up, Asuka gets attacked again by Bayley and Banks until security breaks it up again. Dolph Ziggler interrupts and makes his way to the ring, Ziggler then does his own introduction for WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and he comes to the ring. Ziggler gets the microphone to question where McIntyre would be without him, Ziggler promises to survive McIntyre and win the WWE Title at WWE Extreme Rules ’20. Ziggler signs the contract and McIntyre signs it next, McIntyre gets the microphone to talk about the journey he has gone through to become the WWE Champion. McIntyre promises to defeat Ziggler and he’ll even allow Ziggler to pick a match stipulation, Asuka interrupts Ziggler before addressing Banks and Bayley. Asuka signs the contract next, Banks gets the microphone and she says she’ll win the Raw Women’s Title at WWE Extreme Rules ’20 before signing the contract. Asuka attacks Banks and Bayley before McIntyre and Ziggler briefly go at it.

- Highlights are shown of last weeks match between The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders, followed by the attack from Andrade & Angel Garza.

- Angel Garza is hitting on a referee when Zelina Vega and Andrade arrive, Charly Caruso arrives and questions what Garza was doing. Vega says they wanted too make sure the ref would call things fairly, Big Show interrupts and says their match has been postponed so he can address Randy Orton.

- Big Show is in the ring after the commercial break and he calls Randy Orton out, Andrade interrupts alongside Angel Garza and Zelina Vega. Show warns them to not “try him” right now, Show challenges them to a fight and he gets surrounded by Garza and Andrade. Ric Flair interrupts and makes his way towards the ring, Flair says that he has to have a word with Show. Flair says that Orton is backstage and will come out whenever he feels like it, Flair then orders Andrade and Garza to attack Show. The Viking Raiders come out and they brawl with Andrade and Garza as we go to a commercial break.

The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs. Andrade & Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega

The match is joined in progress and we see Erik nail Garza with a shoulder block, Erik trips up Garza before slamming him. Ivar tags in and he double teams Garza with Erik, Ivar drops Garza with a snap mare before rubbing his beard in his face. Erik tags in and he nails a cornered Garza with shoulder thrusts, Ivar tags in and he nails Garza with a corner spear for a near fall. Ivar drops Garza again before landing a fist drop for a near fall, Ivar holds Garza down while working over his arm. Erik tags in and he slams Ivar on a downed Garza for a near fall, Andrade tags in and Erik knocks him to the arena floor. Garza distracts Erik and that leads to a double team involving Andrade for a near fall, Andrade keeps Erik down while stomping away on him. Garza tags in and he stomps away on a downed Erik, Garza also nails Erik with a few strikes before Erik fights back. Andrade tags in and he quickly drops Erik before Garza tags himself back in, Andrade gets angry on Garza and he threatens to head backstage as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Garza nailing a cornered Erik with a plethora of strikes, Andrade tags in and he works over a cornered Erik.

Erik fights back and he levels Andrade with a knee strike to the face, Ivar tags in and Garza tags into the match as well. Ivar quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Ivar goes for a handspring move and Garza nails him with a drop kick. Andrade and Erik are tagged in by their respective partners, The Viking Raiders nail their opponents with a power bomb/power slam combo. The Viking Raiders go for The Viking Experience and Andrade breaks it up, Andrade then hits Erik with a double knee strike. Garza drags Erik out of the ring and he throws him into the ring post, Andrade then hits Erik with a spinning elbow strike. Garza tags in and he nails Erik with a Wing Clipper for a three count.

Winners: Andrade & Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega

- Highlights are shown of Natalya defeating Liv Morgan on last weeks Raw, followed by Ruby Riott confronting Morgan backstage.

- Ruby Riott is approached by The IIconics backstage, they say that Riott still has no friends before mocking Liv Morgan. Riott mocks The IIconics for losing the women’s tag team title match last week, Riott challenges either of The IIconics to a match tonight.

- Angel Garza and Andrade are arguing backstage when Ric Flair arrives, Flair asks them to follow him and they all leave together.

WWE 24/7 Championship
Akira Tozawa (c) w/Ninjas vs. R-Truth

The match begins with Tozawa rolling up R-Truth for a near fall, R-Truth gets Tozawa in a headlock and Tozawa gets free a short time later. R-Truth then sends a charging Tozawa out of the ring, Tozawa returns and R-Truth says he suffered a knee injury before rolling up Tozawa for a three count.

Winner: R-Truth, your new WWE 24/7 Champion

After the match, the ninjas attack R-Truth and chase him out of the ringside area.

- Highlights are shown of the confrontation last week between MVP and Apollo Crews.

- Bobby Lashley and MVP are backstage, Lashley says that Apollo Crews has disrespected them both for turning down MVP’s offer. MVP says he will help Crews learn from his mistakes tonight.

- Seth Rollins is backstage with Murphy, Rollins tells Murphy that he has to deliver his most important message to date right now.

- Seth Rollins and Murphy come to the ring after the commercial break, a video package airs highlighting the feud between Rollins and the Mysterio Family. Rollins talks about what went down last week on WWE Raw, Rollins says Mysterio has a duty to uphold and Rollins says Mysterio hasn’t been seeing things clearly. Rollins says Mysterio’s duty is to be a sacrifice for the future of WWE Raw, Rollins says that Mysterio has defied him all the way. Rollins then asks Mysterio to forgive him for what he is forcing him to do in the future, Rollins says Mysterio is meant to be a sacrifice for WWE Raw. Rey and Dominick appear on the big screen, Rey asks Dominick to forgive him for what he’ll do to Rollins. Rey says he has to do something remorseless to Rollins, Rey says what he will do to Rollins will be done by design. Rollins tells Rey and Dominick to be careful for what they wish for, Rollins promises to end Mysterio’s career. Alleister Black and Humberto Carrillo hit the ring as we go to a commercial break.

- Seth Rollins gets on the microphone before the next match wondering why Humberto Carrillo and Aleister Black are standing up for Rey Mysterio, Carrillo calls Rollins a coward and Black says he recognizes evil when he sees Rollins.

Aleister Black & Humberto Carrillo vs. Seth Rollins & Murphy

The match begins with Murphy missing a knee strike before Black lands some of his own, Black drops Murphy with a knee strike. Black then hits Murphy with a penalty kick before dropping an interfering Rollins, Rollins interferes again to trip up Black and Murphy nails him with a super kick. Rollins tags in and he works over Black on the outside of the ring, Rollins gets Black in the ring before attacking him with more strikes. Rollins drops Black with a hard Irish whip before tagging Murphy in, Murphy and Rollins work together to attack Black. Murphy holds Black down while pulling back on his head, Black fights back and he tags Carrillo into the match. Carrillo starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Carrillo then hits Murphy with a spinning head kick followed by a springboard cross body block. Rollins interferes and Carrillo sends him out of the ring, Carrillo then hits Murphy with a missile drop kick. Rollins drags Murphy out of the ring and Carrillo takes them both out with a dive as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Rollins tagging in to go after Carrillo. Carrillo drops Rollins with a head kick, Murphy and Black are tagged into the match by their respective partners.

Black quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Black nails both opponents with a springboard moonsault. Black goes for Black Mass and Murphy counters with a roll up, Carrillo tags in as Black nails Murphy with a knee strike. Carrillo then hits Murphy with a 619 for a near fall, Rollins attacks Black before nailing him with a suicide dive. Carrillo attacks Rollins before eating a knee strike from Murphy for a near fall, Murphy goes to the top rope and Carrillo meets him up there. Murphy gets free and he nails Carrillo with a super kick, Rollins tags in and he nails an elevated Carrillo with a top rope knee strike for a near fall. Black goes after Murphy and that distracts Rollins, Rollins still manages to hit Carrillo with The Stomp for a three count.

Winners: Seth Rollins & Murphy

After the match, Murphy and Seth Rollins attack Aleister Black, Murphy then throws Black into the time keepers area. Murphy then grabs Humberto Carrillo and he drags him towards the ring steps, Carrillo fights back and Murphy nails him with the ring steps. Rollins puts a Rey Mysterio mask on Carrillo before dragging him toward the ring steps, Rollins tries blinding Carrillo until Black makes the save. Rollins nails Carrillo with The Stomp onto the ring steps as Black battled Murphy.

- Drew McIntyre and Asuka are interviewed backstage, Asuka says a bunch of stuff in Japanese while McIntyre says they’ll have some fun with their opponents tonight. McIntyre says he let Dolph Ziggler choose the stipulation for WWE Extreme Rules so Ziggler will have no excuses when he loses.

- A video package airs highlighting the career of The Undertaker.

- Ruby Riott is approached by Lana backstage, Lana talks about Riott not having any friends and Riott says she isn’t buying what Lana is selling. Lana talks about how great Natalya has been throughout her career in an attempt to get Riott to join their group.

Ruby Riott vs. Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay

The match begins with Kay distraction Riott so Royce can gain control, Royce focuses her attack on the arm of Riott. Royce keeps Riott down while landing a knee drop to the injured arm, Royce traps the arm of Riott around the ropes while also choking her. Riott fights back and Royce chokes her along the middle rope, Royce keeps Riott down while working over her arm. Riott fights back again and Royce drops her with a back suplex for a near fall, Royce misses a charge in the corner and Riott nails her with a few kicks and forearm strikes. Riott looks for the Riott kick and Kay distracts her, Royce and Riott exchange roll ups until Royce lands a head kick. Royce then hits Riott with a spinning brain buster for a three count.

Winner: Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay

- Big Show is approached by Charly Caruso backstage, Show says that Ric Flair and Randy Orton have a plan for tonight. Show talks about Flair’s relationship with Orton, Show says he welcomes the challenge from Orton before saying Andrade and Angel Garza are getting an angry giant tonight.

Handicap Match
Big Show vs. Angel Garza & Andrade w/Zelina Vega

The match begins with Andrade and Garza leaving the ring to argue over who should start against Show, Andrade tricks Garza into getting in the ring and Show attacks him with chops followed by a headbutt. Garza leaves the ring and he eventually gets back in the ring, Garza tags Andrade in and Andrade looks for a takedown on Show. Show nails Andrade with a hip attack before landing chops on him, Andrade leaves the ring and Show gets him back in. Show follows up by attacking Andrade with a slam before stepping on him, Andrade fights back and Show quickly drops him. Garza is accidentally tagged in and Show corners him before landing more chops, Garza fights back and he drop kicks a charging Show in the knee. Garza drops Show after landing a plethora of unanswered strikes, Andrade tags in and Garza argues with him. Garza gets angry and he heads backstage, Show hits a distracted Andrade with a choke slam for a three count.

Winner: Big Show

After the match, Big Show hits Andrade with a knockout punch.

- Apollo Crews is talking to Ricochet and Cedric Alexander backstage when R-Truth arrives, R-Truth suspects them of being ninjas.

- Bobby Lashley and MVP get the microphone before the next match, Lashley tells MVP to explain why he is fighting Apollo Crews tonight. MVP talks about growing up in the 305 and wanting to inspire others, MVP says Crews made an ignorant choice by rejecting his managerial services. Crews interrupts to say that he never disrespected anybody, Crews said MVP kept pushing after he rejected him and MVP only cares about MVP.

Apollo Crews vs. MVP w/Bobby Lashley

The match begins with MVP getting Crews in a headlock, Crews gets free and MVP drops him with a shoulder tackle. Crews fights back to hit MVP with a hurricarana and drop kick, Crews then drops MVP with a press slam and Lashley drags him out of the ring. Crews then hits Lashley with a suicide dive, MVP sends Crews into the barricade as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see MVP working over Crews’ arm in the ring, Crews fights back and MVP drops him with a boot to the face for a few near falls. MVP applies a modified dragon sleeper to a downed Crews, MVP releases the hold before hitting Crews with a knee drop for a near fall. MVP misses a big boot in the corner and Crews lands a few strikes afterwards, Crews then hits MVP with a pair of avalanches. Crews follows up by nailing MVP with a spine buster for a near fall, Crews goes to the top rope and Lashley distracts him so MVP can trip him up. MVP nails Crews with a boot to the face followed by a fisherman suplex for a three count.

Winner: MVP w/Bobby Lashley

After the match, Apollo Crews attacks MVP until Bobby Lashley gets him in the full nelson until Ricochet and Cedric Alexander make the save.

Bobby Lashley w/MVP vs. Ricochet w/Cedric Alexander

The match is joined in progress and we see Lashley drop Ricochet, Lashley goes for a suplex and Ricochet escapes. Ricochet goes to the ring apron and Lashley clocks him with an elbow strike before getting him in the ring, Lashley the hits Ricochet with a corner spear. Lashley followed up by nailing Ricochet with a suplex throw for a near fall, Lashley throws Ricochet out of the ring so MVP can send him into the announce table. Lashley leaves the ring and he throws Ricochet into the barricade before getting him back in the ring, Lashley then nails Ricochet with a Dominator for a near fall. Lashley follows that up by tossing Ricochet across the ring, Ricochet leaves the ring and Lashley follows him out there to toss him on the arena floor. Lashley then sends Ricochet into the ring post, Lashley gets Ricochet back in the ring and Ricochet falls during a spear attempt. Lashley looks for a full nelson and Ricochet sends him out of the ring, Lashley catches a leaping Ricochet and Ricochet manages to knock him into the ring post. Ricochet nails Lashley with a springboard moonsault when he gets back in the ring for a near fall, Ricochet goes to the top rope and MVP distracts him. Ricochet leaps off the ropes and he nails Lashley with an enziguri, Ricochet then hits Lashley with a super kick.

Ricochet goes for a follow up head kick and Lashley nails him with a spine buster, Lashley gets Ricochet in the full nelson and Ricochet taps out.

Winner: Bobby Lashley w/MVP

After the match, Bobby Lashley applies the full nelson to Cedric Alexander.

- Dolph Ziggler is talking to Bayley & Sasha banks backstage, they argue over who should lead the team tonight.

Drew McIntyre & Asuka vs. Dolph Ziggler & Sasha Banks w/Bayley

The match begins with Ziggler looking for a takedown on McIntyre and McIntyre tosses him across the ring, McIntyre goes for another toss and Ziggler lands on his feet. Ziggler does some trash talking and McIntyre attacks him with a ton of strikes, Ziggler fights back and he nails McIntyre with a fame asser for a one count. Banks tags in and Asuka comes into the ring next, Asuka and Banks go through a series of reversals until Asuka gains control. Asuka corners Banks before missing a second hip attack, Asuka goes for an Asuka Lock and Ziggler interferes. McIntyre takes out Ziggler as Asuka nails Banks with a spinning back fist as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Ziggler applying a sleeper hold on McIntyre. McIntyre gets free and Ziggler gets him in another sleeper hold, McIntyre gets free again and he nails Ziggler with some strikes. McIntyre goes for an inverted Alabama and Ziggler counters with a roll up for a near fall, Ziggler follows up by nailing McIntyre with a DDT. Banks tags in and she eats a drop kick and knee strike from Asuka, Asuka then nails Banks with a hip attack followed by a release German suplex. Asuka follows up by landing a sliding kick on Banks for a near fall, Asuka knocks Banks to the arena floor after landing a hip attack.

Bayley distracts Asuka and Banks nails her with a meteora on the arena floor, Banks gets Asuka back in the ring for a near fall. Banks mounts Asuka and she attacks her with a bunch of strikes, Banks then hits Asuka with a suplex for a near fall. Banks keeps Asuka down while applying a chin lock to her, Asuka gets free and Banks nails her with a double knee strike for another near fall. Banks keeps Asuks down while pulling back on both arms, Asuka fights back and Banks nails her with a knee strike. Asuka recovers and she nails Banks with a double knee strike, Ziggler tags in and he goes right after McIntyre. McIntyre gains control and he nails Ziggler with some overhead belly to belly suplexes, McIntyre then hits Ziggler with a top rope clothesline. Ziggler blocks the Future Shock DDT and Banks tags in, Banks gives McIntyre the business and Asuka nails her with a head kick for a near fall. Ziggler knocks McIntyre into the ring post as they battle on the outside of the ring, Banks eventually gets Asuka in the Bank Statement and Asuka gets free. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock and Banks counters with a roll up for a three count.

Winners: Dolph Ziggler & Sasha Banks w/Bayley
