On September 6, 2024, WWE hosted a new episode of Friday Night SmackDown on Fox, the last episode of the show on the network before moving to the USA Network.
The show was headlined by Cody Rhodes responding to Solo Sikoa’s challenge, Bayley facing Tiffany Stratton, and Giovani Vinci making his SmackDown return. The full results are listed below.

- Michael Cole & Corey Graves welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
- Cody Rhodes came to the ring for a promo, where he invited The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & Jacob Fatu) to the ring. They obliged, with Sikoa demanding a title match. Rhodes was willing to give a title shot but to Jacob Fatu. Fatu entered the ring to confront Rhodes, but Fatu then left the ring. This led to Rhodes offering a title match to Sikoa for the next week, which Sikoa accepted before asking The Bloodline to enter the ring; however, The Street Profits & #DIY came to Rhodes’s aid. Nick Aldis then came to the ring and told them to avoid physicality or they would be fined and suspended before announcing Rhodes would defend his title against Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match.
- Tiffany Stratton & Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) spoke backstage before Nia Jax appeared. Jax said she would help Stratton the same way Stratton helped her last week.
- Bayley def. Tiffany Stratton via Pinfall (Rose Plant).
- A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) made fun of Kevin Owens after his loss on WWE Bash In Berlin, which led to Kevin Owens challenging them to a Triple Threat Match tonight. Owens then took the Edmonton Oilers-themed title from Waller.
- Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Elektra Lopez, Angel Garza & Berto Garza) spoke in a restaurant. Escobar told The Garzas to not be satisfied with just a win and aim to get more because it was time for Legado del Fantasma to take over.
- Apollo Crews def. Giovani Vinci via Pinfall (Crucifix Pin).
- Chelsea Green & Piper Niven complained to Nick Aldis regarding Giulia attacking Green before "Michin" Mia Yim interrupted. Michin & Green had a verbal exchange before Aldis booked a match between the two tonight.
- Triple Threat Match: Kevin Owens def. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller via Pinfall (Stunner).
- A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) laid out Owens after the match.
- There was a video package for Andrade El Idolo & Carmelo Hayes's rivalry.
- There was a video package of SmackDown's run on FOX.
- WWE United States Champion LA Knight came to the ring for a promo, but he was interrupted by Carmelo Hayes who wanted a shot at the title. Andrade El Idolo interrupted and said he wanted a shot at the title and said (in Spanish) that LA Knight was only good for talking and he was not a worthy champion and he was. Hayes & Andrade went at it before LA Knight caught Andrade with the BFT. Hayes made fun of Andrade, but that led to Knight hitting a BFT on Hayes as well.
- A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) met with Nick Aldis, and they said that Aldis could find a partner for Kevin Owens for next week.
- Chelsea Green (w/ Piper Niven) def. "Michin" Mia Yim via Pinfall (Killswitch).
- There was a video package of Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill regaining the WWE Women's Tag Titles on Bash In Berlin.
- Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) def. #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) & Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) (w/ B-Fab) via Pinfall (Samoan Spike from Sikoa on Ford)
