Rey Fenix has sustained an injury.
Rey Fenix was hospitalized following the main event of the January 5, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite, but thankfully, the injury is not as bad as initially feared.
Initial reports claimed that Fenix has a broken arm, but after a long night of hospitalization, it was confirmed to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that no fracture was suffered by Fenix.
Fenix was at the hospital until the wee hours last night, it was said originally everyone feared a break and surgery, but there was "no fracture"

The injury occurred during the AEW Tag Team Title main event on Dynamite when Fenix was chokeslammed by Luchasaurus from the apron through a table. Fenix tried to brace his fall with his left arm but it could be seen giving out under his weight. He immediately signalled for the referee and doctors went to check on him.
Jungle Boy eventually pinned Penta to win the match and the Tag belts for Jurassic Express.
The clip of when the injury occurred can be seen below. Be warned that it is graphic in nature.
