Rey Mysterio confirms his injury.
During a Fanatics Live Signing, Rey Mysterio confirmed he suffered a torn groin on WWE SmackDown.
"It's unfortunate that I suffered a torn groin on Friday night at SmackDown and I wasn't able to perform. Live to fight another day," said Mysterio.
Mysterio was scheduled to face El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 41, but was not medically cleared to compete. Rey Fenix took his place.
Mysterio teamed with Rey Fenix & Dragon Lee in a victory over American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, & Brutus Creed) on WWE SmackDown.
Officials helped him to the back after the match.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer first reported that Mysterio suffered a torn groin.
It is unknown how long Mysterio will be sidelined. Fightful wishes him the best as he recover.
