Rey Mysterio secured his first NJPW victory.
After nearly three decades, Rey Mysterio made his NJPW wrestling debut in June at Dominion. He was in a six-man tag team match and teamed with Jushin Liger and Hiroshi Tanahashi but the three wrestlers lost to the Bullet Club.
On Sunday, Mysterio earned his first NJPW victory as he, Kushida, and a wrestler called Sengoku Enbu defeated Kazuchika Okada, Sho, and Yoh. Mysterio was originally suppose to wrestle Sengoku Enbu but they were victorious as teammates.
The following is an excerpt from the Fightful play-by-play provided by David Tees.
Mysterio sends Sho and Yoh into the ropes before attempting a 619, Okada blocks the 619 by nailing Mysterio with a drop kick. Enbu and Kushida take out Okada and Sho with suicide dives, Mysterio sends Yoh into the ropes before landing a 619. Mysterio nails Yoh with a springboard splash for the three count.
Winners: Rey Mysterio, Kushida & Pro Wrestler Sengoku Enbu
It appeared Sengoku Enbu was being portrayed by Ryusuke Taguchi.
