The January 20 edition of WWE Raw started off with a bang, as Nia Jax attacked and ambushed Rhea Ripley backstage.
Later on in the night, Nia Jax competed in singles action, defeating Raw newcomer Bayley via pinfall with the An-Nia-Lator. After the bout, Rhea Ripley to hit the ring to brawl with Jax around the ringside area.
Eventually, Ripley issued the challenge to face Jax at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25.
