Ric Flair says the "woo" isn't going anywhere.
On the March 24th episode of WWE Raw, John Cena cut a promo and said that he intended to make everyone forget the name of Ric Flair by winning his seventeenth world title by beating Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 41.
Speaking with Dean "Mojo" Muhtadi on TMZ Sports, Ric Flair was asked about John Cena's promo.
“I’m just glad I’m alive after the life I’ve led to be here to hear it. I got news for John. They’ve been trying to get rid of the ‘Woo’ for 50 years. The ‘Woo’ isn’t going away, and neither is Ric Flair, and the odds of him winning a seventeenth world title are astronomical," Flair said.
When asked about Cena's heel turn, Flair said that he loved it, and he thought it was the coolest thing they could have done. He noted that he was hoping that Cena would win the Royal Rumble. He also said that he was excited for Cena. Flair was then asked whether he would be at WWE WrestleMania 41, and he said that he would.
“Hell yeah. I’m going to the pool party with you [laughs]," Flair said.
Flair recently said that Cena would have to go through him to get the seventeenth world title. Check out his comments here.
