Ricky Saints has made a quick impact in NXT, winning the NXT North American Championship less than two months after making his debut.
The crowd at the WWE Performance Center has chanted "Tony Fumbled" during Ricky's appearances, referencing Tony Khan and how fans believe he did not utilize Saints (Ricky Starks in AEW) to the best of his ability in the promotion.
Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling, Saints was asked about the chants.
"My reaction is, it's not about what happened in the past. Let's focus on now and my work that I'm doing now. I appreciate the sentiment that they care about me and have opinions about the situation, but let's not put somebody else down," he said.
Saints was signed to AEW from 2020 to 2025.
He is set to defend the NXT North American Championship against Ethan Page at NXT Stand & Deliver.
