Ricky Starks outsmarts CM Punk.
Ricky Starks won the 2023 Men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, defeating CM Punk in the finals on the July 15 episode of AEW Collision.
The finish saw a series of pinfall reversals after Starks rolled through a top rope hurricana that ended with Ricky grabbing the ropes as he held Punk's shoulders down to score the victory. Prior to the finish, Starks hit a spear on Punk, and went for another one, but Punk got a guillotine choke. Starks survived by getting his foot on the rope.
Jushin "Thunder" Liger attempted to present the trophy to Starks, who immediately snatched it and walked away.

Starks defeated Juice Robinson and Powerhouse Hobbs on his way to the finals while Punk knocked off Satoshi Kojima and Samoa Joe.
