Following WWE Crown Jewel, Braun Strowman was proud of his match with Omos and took to social media to brag about things.
Strowman tweeted, and then deleted, "Holy hell @TheGiant Omos can you believe we got 47 and reminded the people that no one cares about all these floppy floppers. Giants and Monster > flippy flipper bag your grocery’s at @kroger #AirportTest #SizeIsThePrize #SwoleIsTheGoal."
Ricochet was one of many peers who responded to Braun's comments, tweeting, "Just don’t ask him to stand on a scale or he’ll threaten to sue you hahaha."
Appearing on WWE After The Bell, Ricochet gave further comment on Braun's tweet.
"Honestly, I don't really put too much thought into it. Even Braun, back when he said those things, he's still my friend. I just put a post to call him out, but we're still cool. At the end of the day, I've heard it so much and coming up in the business, I heard it so much. 'You're never going to make it to WWE. It's the land of the giants. You're never going to make it.' It's almost white noise, TV static. If you do care, it's going to take you down. If you do care, you can ask my girlfriend [Samantha Irvin], I don't really care what anybody says about me. I don't care. I know when I walk out there, all the kids are going to be like, 'that's my guy.' Not only kids, but the adults, everyone, as soon as I walk out there, whatever you feel about me, I know you're going to get a feeling in the pit of your stomach when I walk out and you're going to look at your friends and get excited. Whether you believe he's [Ricochet] going to lose in five minutes or you believe he going to win in 22 minutes, you know you're going to have a feeling in your stomach and you're going to remember Ricochet. The memories that you're going to remember him for are about to be some great stuff," he said.
Ricochet defeated Strowman in the semifinals of the SmackDown World Cup. He would go on to defeat Santos Escobar in the finals, earning him a shot at GUNTHER at the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the December 16 episode of WWE SmackDown.
