Ricochet recalls his viral spot with Logan Paul from the 2023 Royal Rumble match.
The 2023 Royal Rumble match was a hot topic among the wrestling community in the weeks after the event for a number of reasons. One of those reasons was the mid-air springboard crash spot between Logan Paul and Ricochet that became a viral video on the internet.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ricochet went into detail about the process of putting the spot together with Paul, noting that the told him to jump first and that he'd follow shortly after.
“Well I told him…. Secrets, whatever, who cares. Going into it, I told him, ‘Listen, I want you to be as comfortable as possible. So, I don’t want you to wait on me, I don’t want you to think about me, I don’t even want you to worry about me at all. Whenever you’re comfortable, you just go, and I’ll time it off of your jump. I’ll time it off of you, I’ll go with you to make sure that we’re good.’ I was like ‘Don’t worry about if I’m gonna jump or if I’m gonna go, don’t worry about me. You just go and then I’ll follow you, I’ll follow suit.’”
Paul also recalled the spot on his Impaulsive podcast back in January 2023.
