Rikishi Says That When The Usos' Contracts Expire In April, He'll Support Whatever They Choose To Do

The big man is behind his sons one-hundred percent.

The current SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos have a rematch from the 'Elimination Chamber' pay-per-view coming up in two weeks at WWE's 'Fastlane' pay-per-view against Shane McMahon and The Miz. Jimmy and Jey are five-time Tag Team Champions of the sports-entertainment company and many viewers of the product consistently praise The Usos for their mic and in-ring work.

It is noted in the Fightful "Wrestling Contract Expiration Dates" article that The Usos' contracts are up this coming April. WWE Hall Of Famer and former WWF Intercontinental Champion Rikishi has publicly discussed The Usos' pending free agency and he did so again while speaking with TV Insider. Rikishi shared The Usos will become free agents around WrestleMania 35 and stated that whatever they choose to do whether that'd be re-sign with WWE, go elsewhere or step away from the ring, he will support that decision.

“Jonathan and Joshua Fatu, they are pretty much well secured there in WWE. I taught my kids everything they need to know in the industry, but I think they have nothing else to prove in WWE,” Rikishi said. “My thing is I’m always concerned about my kids and their bodies holding up in the industry. We don’t have time off. They run 365 days a year and [are] gone all the time and performing every night. I’m kind of leaning for them to go to Hollywood. I kind of see a Samoan dynasty reality show for CBS, I think, somewhere down the line." Rikishi expressed. "Right now, their contracts are coming up in April. During that time is around WrestleMania; we’ll see where they go from there. Wherever the boys decide to go, I know I’ll support their decision. I also know the fans of the Usos and the dynasty will support them as well. I really don’t think they have anything else to prove in professional wrestling, but to move on to other things. I want them to try other things and go into acting. I think these boys are naturals in front of the camera. You see how much they’ve grown in their promos. Once they gave them the mic, their talent came through.”

As mentioned, The Usos are set to defend their SmackDown Tag Titles at 'Fastlane' and that PPV's match card is beginning to take shape. Click here to see the updated lineup for the March 10th event.
