RJ City: I'm Not Retired, I Just Got Paid More To Do Other Things In Wrestling That's Not Wrestling

What is professional wrestling?

"The best way I can describe it is a violent muppet show. It's a show about putting on a show because nothing ever goes according to plan. Each character has their different thing they want to do and it's grown into conflict with other characters, but also within the confines of the show," RJ City explained to Tom Scharpling on The Best Show.

RJ City is a wrestler (allegedly) who is signed to AEW (reportedly) to provide digital content (accurate).

"Not retired," he said. "I just got paid more to do other things in wrestling that's not wrestling, not that I won't. There is an argument that when I wrestle, I'm not wrestling."

RJ has not wrestled in AEW since signing. He hosts Hey! EW every Sunday morning and interviews members of the AEW roster and staff about a variety of topics.

His interview with Bryan Danielson won every award imaginable, and even those not in your imagination, in the mind of this writer.
