Rob Van Dam Let WWE Know He Was Available For The Royal Rumble If Needed, They Didn't Call

Rob Van Dam was ready to be a Royal Rumble surprise if needed.

Rob Van Dam went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. Sadly, one of the most beloved WWE Superstars of all time gave his induction speech in front of no real audience and instead was inducted in the WWE ThunderDome.

The Royal Rumble could have provided an opportunity for Rob Van Dam to return for one night and perform for the audience that helped him reach WWE Hall of Fame status.

Speaking with Sportskeeda, Rob Van Dam revealed that you let WWE know he was available for the annual Battle Royal but they did not give him a call. He even revealed that he had a new set of gear ready for the Royal Rumble if need be.

"I let them (WWE) know that I was available if they needed me for Royal Rumble, and I was on standby, with a brand new outfit feeling great, you know, in a great condition,'' revealed RVD. ''They didn't call me in, but it could happen anytime. I don't have any plans for it, but you know, I would consider any situation from any company. I'd consider it. If it's right, it's right."

Recently, Sean Waltman, aka X-Pac, stated that he also let WWE know he was ready and they did not give him a call. Learn more here.
