Roman Reigns Currently Not Advertised For Any WWE TV Shows Or Live Events In July Or August 2022

Roman Reigns’ summer schedule looks to be on the lighter side, WWE.com is to be believed.

Roman Reigns, the current Undisputed Universal Champion, has been openly speaking about working in a new phase of his career complete with a new schedule. Reportedly, he signed a new deal recently that will facilitate this new schedule. Fightful Select published the following report regarding Reigns on May 8:

Dominik Mysterio Was Told Not To Mess With His Family At Ringside During WrestleMania 39

One source indicated to Fightful that Roman Reigns is likely to be accommodated and incentivized to keep WWE his priority after they've focused programming around him, as WWE doesn't see an end in sight with him factored in. This is a stark contrast from John Cena and The Rock, who aren't expected by WWE to have full-time runs again.

Another person in the company indicated that they believed Reigns was referencing that eventually his schedule will likely include less house show events.

Now, the WWE website does not have Roman Reigns listed for any events in July or August 2022 with the exception of the Money in the Bank (July 2) and SummerSlam (July 30) premium live events.

Currently, Brock Lesnar is also advertised for these events on the site. Brock has not been seen since WrestleMania 38 when he lost the WWE World Championship unification match to Roman Reigns. He was initially advertised for WrestleMania Backlash, but as the old adage goes, “card subject to change.”

Roman Reigns is currently working Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown shows as necessary because of the championship unification stipulation allowing him to be on both brands, but right now, WWE is advertising other superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and even Ronda Rousey, to anchor several shows this summer.

We will continue to report on the latest news concerning the Roman Reigns’ schedule as more information is available.

Recently, Roman Reigns even teased that the six-man tag team match at Backlash could be the final time that The Bloodline ever wrestled as a unit. Read more here.
