Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend his WWE Universal Championship for the first time since WrestleMania 39 at an upcoming WWE Live event in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Roman Reigns was recently given a new title belt signifying his reign with the WWE Universal Championship, which lasted for over 1,000 days. He will put that title on the line at an upcoming WWE Live event. For the first time in three years, Reigns is returning to the city of Cincinnati. For the first time since WrestleMania, he will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against a WWE Hall of Famer.
The Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati has announced that Roman Reigns will defend his championship against Rey Mysterio at a WWE Live event on June 17.
Roman Reigns is no stranger to Rey Mysterio, as the two faced off in the first-ever Hell in a Cell match on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown in 2021.
This is not Roman Reigns' only stop this summer. "The Tribal Chief" was recently announced for a slew of televised and untelevised events leading up to WWE SummerSlam on August 5 in Detroit, Michigan. Fans can check out his full schedule here.
