Roman Reigns named the date for a potential match with The Rock.
The Rock has stated he's open to a match against Roman Reigns, should things work out between all parties. It was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Rock would be open to do the bout in 2022.
Rock, Paul Heyman, and Reigns have all publicly commented on the potential marquee match at WrestleMania between the two, but nothing has been made official.
It is unknown if the bout will ever happen, but if it does, Roman believes WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood would be the place to do it.
"We'll go to Hollywood for [WrestleMania] 39, and I think it just makes sense," Reigns said to Fox Sports 1. "He's the biggest box office attraction for the big screen. So, to be able to take that and match it up with the biggest box office attraction in sports entertainment, I think some magic would be made."
WrestleMania 37 was scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Hollywood, but the scheduled shift around due to the COVID-19 pandemic. WrestleMania 37 will now be held at Raymond James Stadium, the original site for WrestleMania 36, as a two-night event on April 10 and 11.
