Roxanne Perez Agrees To Defend Her NXT Women's Championship Against Meiko Satomura

Roxanne Perez appears to have run into a roadblock on her road to NXT Stand & Deliver.

On the February 7 episode of WWE NXT, the NXT Women's Champion was confronted by Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. The duo were frustrated after they lost the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, and they took it out on Perez by reminding her how her run with the tag titles ended with Cora Jade turning on her. They claimed that Perez didn't have any friends left, and she proved them wrong by calling former NXT UK Women's Champion Meiko Satomura, setting the stage for a tag team match the following week.

The bout headlined the February 14 episode of WWE NXT. Though Chance and Carter had the experience advantage as a team, Perez and Satomura still scored the win in a hard-fought bout, which marked Satomura's return to NXT after she had been absent since the September 6 episode of NXT,, where she beat Perez.

After the match on Tuesday night, Satomura noted that she did something for Perez by teaming up with her, and she wanted something in return. She pointed at Perez's title, and the champion made it clear that she would be honored to face the veteran.

On commentary, Vic Joseph repeatedly stated that Perez was looking at her "roadblock" to Los Angeles, WrestleMania, and her overall reign as NXT Women's Champion. Earlier in the show, the commentary team announced that the NXT Roadblock special will be held on March 7.
