Ryan Katz is officially headed back to WWE. He just isn't sure when.
On August 22, Fightful Select reported that WWE was interested in bringing back Ryan Katz, who was released in January. Katz filled many roles in WWE and NXT, most notably helping with the creative side. The news came after it was reported Road Dogg was returning to the company as well.
Following their releases in January, Katz and Dogg started a podcast together.
On the latest episode of Oh...You Didn't Know, Katz confirmed he's headed back to WWE.
Road Dogg: I guess people figured out by now, you're returning to World Wrestling Entertainment and kind of taking over your exact previous job. Talk to me a little about what that job is before I let you go.
Ryan Katz: It's going to be interesting because I'm still trying to figure out if that's exactly what I'm doing.
RD: Did you get a title or a billet or anything?
RK: Nothing is kind of official.
RD: Have you started yet, at least?
RK: I was supposed to start on Thursday [September 1], but it's been pushed. We'll see what happens. If people are wondering why I don't respond to the questions or the stories out there, it's because I'm still waiting to find out if it's true too.
RD: The job you did before, I don't know if you had a billet or a title, but you wore a ton of hats. I knew for a fact, when the regime changed, they'd have you back. The people who run the Performance Center valued you.
Katz signed off on the podcast, turning things over to new co-host Casio Kid.
It is unknown when Katz is set to start with the company. Dogg is reportedly back as Senior Vice President Of Live Events.
Fightful will continue to keep fans informed of changes made to the WWE offices as they are known.
