Ryan Nemeth Reveals How His AEW Dynamite Match Came As A Surprise

On January 26, Ryan Nemeth stepped back into the ring for the first time since 2018, wrestling a six-man tag on AEW Dark. One day later, he took on Hangman Page on AEW Dynamite.

Nemeth, the brother of Dolph Ziggler, has made sporadic wrestling appearances over the years but has mainly kept to Hollywood following his WWE release in 2013.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Nemeth revealed how his appearances for AEW happened by just showing up to the building.

"I went to AEW to see Amanda Huber, Brodie Lee's wife, and her kids because I knew there would be a birthday celebration for Brodie Jr. I thought I would show up, surprise her, say happy birthday to the boy. As the old wrestling rule goes, if you're going to be around a wrestling show, always have your gear. They said, 'Hey, since you're here, do you want to wrestle a little bit?' I said, 'Sure.' It was great. [Amanda] was happy about it too. I think it went well," he said. "I was honored [to make my debut on AEW Dynamite]. It felt pretty cool that they trusted me to do that."

Nemeth competed on Tuesday's episode of AEW Dark, picking up a victory over Marko Stunt.

He is set to take on PAC on Wednesday's Dynamite.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
