Samantha Irvin comments on her move to Monday Night Raw.
As a part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Samantha Irvin was slotted as the ring announcer for Monday Night Raw, while Mike Rome was moved over to Friday Night SmackDown.
Before moving to the red brand, Irvin had served as the ring announcer for SmackDown for over a year.
In a new interview with Ryan Satin of the Out Of Character podcast, Irvin talked about her move to Raw. Irvin stated that she was iffy on the change at first, but that she has grown to love nearly everything about the red brand.
“You know, I don’t really like change so I was immediately like, ‘What could go wrong? I’m moving shows’ but on SmackDown… there’s a S-A-M in SmackDown. I have a lot of blue clothes. The energy of SmackDown, from the time that SmackDown debuted, I was a SmackDown person. So, I was a little sad at first, but now I’m absolutely loving it. I love it. I love the schedule, I love what’s being going on on Raw, I’ve been loving the matches and the rivalries that are unfolding. I love doing Main Event too, because the sneaky good matches be on Main Event. I’m enjoying my colleagues on Monday Night Raw, so it’s been excellent. The crowds have been crazy, we’ve been to great cities.”
In a separate interview, Irvin recently credited Micheal Cole for giving her the confidence to be creative with her ring announcing. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
