The quarterfinal round of the AEW Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament is complete.
The tournament began on the September 6 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, Roderick Strong defeated Trent Beretta to advance to the next round. In the main event, Darby Allin defeated Nick Wayne to advance to the semi-finals.
On the September 8 episode of AEW Rampage, Penta El Zero Miedo punched his ticket to the next round by defeating Jay Lethal. Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh tried to help Jeff score the win, but Penta emerged victorious.

Later in the show, Samoa Joe faced Jeff Hardy in the last quarterfinal. The two stars continued their rivalry, and the ROH World Television Champion clinched the submission victory.
With the win, Joe advanced to the next round. He will face Penta El Zero Miedo on the September 9 episode of AEW Collision.

The September 9 episode of AEW Collision will feature the other semi-final bout; Roderick Strong will face Darby Allin. The winner of that match and the victor of Samoa Joe vs. Penta El Zero Miedo will face each other on the September 13 episode of AEW Dynamite. The winner of that match will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 20.
