On September 26, Fightful Select reported that Saraya had signed a new one-year deal with AEW.
Speaking to TMZ, Saraya confirmed her contract status.
"My contract is up with AEW in September, so I don't know. Maybe I'll stay with them, maybe not, I don't know," she said.
Asked about going back to WWE, she said, "Yeah, I love WWE. I appreciate everybody there. They made me. They gave me my career and I'm appreciative of that. One day, who knows. I love my time in AEW."
Saraya has been off AEW television since October 2024.
Asked when she might be returning, she replied, "I don't know. I'm ready to go now. It's just trying the best way to introduce me again. I would love to go against Mercedes. I think it's important. She 'ended my career,' in a way. It's wrestling, it happens, but coming back it would be really great to face off with her."
Mercedes Mone is the reigning AEW TBS Champion.
It is unknown when Saraya will return to AEW TV.
