Saraya captured the AEW Women's Championship at AEW All In 2023, defeating Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker, and Toni Storm in a four-way match.
She held the title for 44 days before losing it to Shida on the October 10, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite. Shida's reign lasted only 39 days as she lost it to "Timeless" Toni Storm at AEW Full Gear 2023 in California.
According to Saraya, she was hoping to losing the title to Storm in California.
"I wish I would have dropped it to Toni in California, which is something I really wanted to do. I thought it was a huge deal and she's a growing a babyface, she was the biggest babyface in the company, even now. The only thing I wanted to be different was that one thing where I wanted to drop it, and I wanted to drop it to Toni. Either way, I'm glad it got to her. I'm not complaining," Saraya told Busted Open Radio.
Saraya and Storm were aligned in The Outcasts before Storm became Timeless. Saraya successfully defended the title against Storm at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2023.
On Wednesday, Saraya announced her departure from AEW.
