Sasha Banks says her and Bayley are a tag team.
With the announcement of the all-women WWE pay-per-view Evolution, some fans were expecting the introduction of a tag team division for the women wrestlers on the WWE roster. The tag-team division has not been announced but there has been speculation fueled by the formation of a team with Bayley and Sasha Banks and reports that the belts have been created. There have also been some social media interactions by Banks that signaled the eventual addition of the tag team division.
In a Q & A on Tyler Breeze's Twitch channel, Banks said her and Bayley are a tag team and she wants to prove they are the best tag team. She was asked what her plans for SummerSlam were and said she wants a tag team match with her partner Bayley.
"I just want to have a match with me and Bayley against somebody because we are a tag team. We want to be the women's tag team champions," said Banks "It could be the Bellas, it could be Kelly Kelly and Maria, it could be Beth Phoenix and Nattie. It doesn't matter. I just want to show the world we are the best and we'll be the first (women's tag team champions)," she continued.
Fightful Wrestling will be updating any developments in the WWE women's division including the Evolution pay-per-view which airs October 28th.
