Shane McMahon Has Surgery To Fix Hernia

Shane McMahon finally had his hernia fixed. 

About two weeks before WrestleMania 34, Shane McMahon was hospitalized with diverticulitis and a hernia. Despite the serious nature of those afflictions, McMahon made it to WrestleMania and competed in a tag team match with Daniel Bryan against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. According to WWE, Shane McMahon recently went through surgery to fix his hernia.

The following is the statement from WWE.com

Smackdown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon underwent a successful hernia surgery last Friday in New York, N.Y. 

McMahon is currently resting at home, but he’s feeling well and is excited to get back to work on Smackdown LIVE.

Also during his hospitalization, McMahon contracted an infection before returning to the United States for medical treatment. He was almost replaced at WrestleMania by Chris Jericho

At one point, Shane McMahon stepped down as commissioner but was also attacked by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Since then, he returned to his role as commissioner and appointed a new General Manager in Paige
