Shane Strickland is officially a free agent.
The former MLW World Heavyweight Champion took to social media to reveal his current contract status. Strickland was reportedly set to sign with WWE this month, but his contract with Lucha Underground caused a delay in him doing so. Now, it looks like Strickland is free and clear to sign with whichever promotion he desires.

Strickland has continued to work for MLW and other Independent promotions as he has waited for his contract situation with Lucha Underground to be cleared up. Lucha Underground season 4 finished airing in November and there is no word on whether or not season 5 will take place. Strickland, who performs as Killshot in the promotion, lost a mask vs. mask bout against Son of Havoc at Ultima Lucha Cuatro.
Strickland competed against Rush at MLW's Never Say Never taping in December and has since wrestled for DEFY, AAW and F1RST. As of now, he is not being advertised for MLW's Superfight event in February.
WWE is set to announce the next group of Performance Center signings in the coming weeks.
