WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was interviewed by Fox News to promote his new faith-based movie The Resurrection of Gavin Stone.
He talked about why he retired from the ring in 2010--to spend more time with his kids.
"I learned very early that you don't get time back," Michaels shared. "I'd miss my children growing up so that's the reason I retired. I knew I'd never get those years back."
But Michaels isn't kidding himself. He knows that he was put on this earth to entertain the people in the middle of a wrestling ring.
"We all have gifts and I guess all the rocket scientists were given away by the time I got there," he joked. "[My gift] was in the world of the WWE and I'm thankful for that."
He says that he doesn't have a hankering to have another match--"No, I don't want to go back and wrestle again..."--but there is one reason he acknowledges he might end up doing it one day.
"Some big bubble could break and I might need money like everybody else. It's wrestle or bag groceries -- [that's] all I'm qualified to do."
Hey, we all do stuff we're not proud of when we're broke.
