Currently, Ivy Nile wrestling for a promotion outside of WWE is being viewed as a one-off.
Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion announced that WWE NXT Superstar Ivy Nile would participate in an upcoming event on Saturday, February 11. Shawn Michaels addressed the booking and the possibility of more Superstars taking outside bookings on a post-show media call following WWE NXT Vengeance Day.
HBK noted to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that from his vantage point, Nile's upcoming booking is being seen as a one-off, and there are no discussions at this time to have more Superstars wrestle outside of WWE.
"As of right now, that was honestly a one-shot deal. Booker has obviously been very good to us here. It was something that he asked and we obviously wanted to help him out with that. As of right now, there is no talk of any of that, to my knowledge. Right now, that was just us helping Booker out with the show and doing what we could to see if we could help. Right now, to the best of my knowledge, it is just a one-shot deal for now," said Shawn Michaels.
In the past, WWE NXT has had working relationships with independent promotions such as EVOLVE. NXT wrestlers who have since graduated to the main roster, such as The Street Profits' Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, would utilize these working relationships to gain more reps between the ropes.
WWE later purchased the EVOLVE promotion. Learn more about that here.
