Shawn Spears took some shots at Ricky Saints on WWE NXT.
Ricky Saints had a sit-down interview on the March 25th episode of WWE NXT. He was asked about how some people in the locker room had been saying that he didn't belong there. Saints stated that his confidence scared people, and he had been dealing with that throughout his life. He emphasized that he wouldn't be where he was without his self-confidence.
NXT North American Champion Shawn Spears interrupted. He sat down and asked Saints why he thought he didn't ask him to be in The Culling. Saints said it was because Spears knew he would say no. Spears said that wasn't true. He brought up the conversation they had not long ago in Philadelphia. Spears said that he had to talk Saints off of a metaphorical ledge. He said that Saints was the same guy that he left a year ago. He said that his arrogance was a plague everywhere he went, as he made a lot of enemies.
Saints fired back by saying that you made enemies when you were trying to get to the top. Spears responded by saying that he was a champion, and he had three of his best friends right beside him. Saints told Spears that he was coming for the title. Spears then told him that when it was all said and done, he could "go back" if it didn't work out here before he told Starks they both knew that he had burnt every bridge.

Later in the show, Spears attacked Saints and hit him with the NXT North American Championship.
Ricky Saints, then known as Ricky Starks, left AEW on February 10th, and he joined NXT.
