Sheamus And Cesaro: "We Literally Kicked The Sh-t Out Of Each Other"

Sheamus says his feud with Cesaro got a little snug.

Last year, Raw's tag team champions Cesaro and Sheamus were in the middle of a feud. During that feud, they had a best-of-seven series which ended as a tie after the seventh match was ruled a no contest. On a recent episode of Talk is Jericho, Sheamus and Cesaro discussed the best-of-seven series. Sheamus said they were motivated for the series and it led to seven brutal matches.

"There was a lot of really cool stuff in there. To me, we knew where we were at and we were just trying to get everyone to notice, remind people how good we are and how realistic we are in there, because we literally kicked the shit out of each other. I'm not joking, (Cesaro) uppercut me one time and I thought my jaw was going to go through the roof of my head. That's how physical it was," said Sheamus. "I remember one time, (Cesaro) came at me and I basically vaulted him into the post. Brett Hart goes off, ranted on about 'oh man, Sheamus is so insane,'" he added.

After the feud, then-Raw general manager Mick Foley put the two together as a tag-team. Cesaro and Sheamus went on to end The New Day's record-breaking title reign and since have been involved in the title scene. They are the current and two-time tag-team champions and have been feuding with Matt and Jeff Hardy over the titles.
