Shawn Michaels lays down the law in regard to the NXT North American Championship.
The end of the September 13 episode of NXT saw Solo Sikoa defeat Carmelo Hayes for the NXT North American Championship. Solo even defended that title on the September 16 episode of SmackDown. Solo was never meant to challenge for the title as Wes Lee won a fan vote to have the right to challenge Carmella Hayes. Because Sikoa wasn't even a choice for the vote. Therefore, Shawn Michaels has now declared that due to the circumstances surrounding his victory, Solo Sikoa must forfeit the title.
I made the NA title more valuable in a WEEK then any title reign in @WWENXT. Brought it to Smackdown with me and defended it.

Keep in mind i never lost it.
There is always more gold out there and i got my eyes set on it already.

Solo gladly forfeited the title on September 20, revealing that he simply had unfinished business, and last week, he took care of it. Shawn Michaels also refused to simply hand the title back to Carmelo Hayes, informing Hayes that in six weeks, he will have the opportunity to once again earn the title in a Fatal 5-Way Ladder Match at NXT Halloween Havoc.
That’s right, the #WWENXT North American title will be up grabs (literally!) at #HalloweenHavoc!!! https://t.co/jF8OMEYvMK

In the past, Halloween Havoc has been a television special for NXT, but this year, it is scheduled to be a premium live event, as reported by Fightful Select.
More news on NXT Takeover
NXT teased the return of Black and Gold, and with that, Takeover shows are set to return as well.
As many knew, the shift to NXT 2.0 was a move put forth by the WWE regime at the time. We haven't learned exactly to what degree this will be changing, but Takeover shows are on the horizon. Specifically, we've been told that Halloween Havoc will be a WWE PLE, currently scheduled internally for October 22. Many of the NXT specials over the last year ended up happening on television. Both of the Halloween Havoc shows so far under the WWE brand have been on weekly TV as opposed to PLEs
Update: WWE later confirmed NXT Halloween Havoc for October 22. It will air on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network elsewhere.
