Ebay seller bradjames281 listed a Sasha Banks signed ring worn jacket with the starting price coming in at $150. Ten days later, the jacket sold for $9,400 to one lucky person.
The jacket is the same piece of clothing that Banks wore the night she won the NXT Women’s Title at NXT Rival back in February 2015. The autograph authentication comes courtesy of WWE announcer Booker T.
47 bids were placed on the item during the ten day auction period. Bidding was heavy out of the gate with the item jumping to over $1,000 just over 24 hours after the auction started. One user jumped from a $2,000 bid to $7,500 in a four hour span, with only one opposing bid during that time.
The winning bid sat at $9,100 for three day before a user upped it $100, where it sat for another two days. The winning user placed the $9,400 bid on Oct. 12, with 24-hours remaining in the auction.
Banks helped promote the auction on her Twitter page, where it was noted that all proceeds from the auction would go to Hurricane Harvey relief.
That makes spending $9,400 on a jacket you’ll never wear a bit more understandable.
