IMPACT held its first night of tapings on October 24 from Las Vegas. Coming out of the tapings, the Knockouts Title match for IMPACT Turning Point was made official.

During the tapings it was made official that Mercedes Martinez will challenge Mickie James for the IMPACT Knockouts Champion at Turning Point on November 20. The special will air on IMPACT+.
Mercedes earned the title shot by winning the Knockouts Knockdown tournament at the IMPACT Knockouts Knockdown special. James won the Knockouts Title for Deonna Purrazzo at IMPACT Bound For Glory.
