During tonight's NXT tapings, the fate of the NXT Title was revealed.
Read below if you want to be spoiled.
It was announced at the NXT television tapings that Johnny Gargano would face Adam Cole for the NXT Title at TakeOver: New York on Apr. 5. Adam Cole won a five-way bout that also featured Aleister Black, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream, and Matt Riddle
The match between Gargano and Cole will be contested under two-out-of-three falls rules.
Gargano was originally slated to face Tommaso Ciampa at TakeOver: New York but Ciampa is unable to compete following neck surgery. Triple H came out during the tapings holding the NXT Title, saying he was set to announce Gargano vs. Ciampa but couldn't do it due to Ciampa's injury. Instead, he announced Gargano would still compete for the gold at TakeOver and his opponent would be decided in a five-way match. To ensure a definitive winner, Triple H announced that the TakeOver bout would be settled in two-out-of-three falls.
