WWE taped the Christmas Day episode of SmackDown on Tuesday from the ThunderDome. The show will air on Friday, December 25 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.

During the SmackDown taping, Big E won the Intercontinental Champion from Sami Zayn in a lumberjack match. At the end of the match, Zayn tried to leave the ring and run away, but was chased down by Apollo Crews and tossed back into the ring.
Big E won the match with the Big Ending.
This marks Big E's second Intercontinental Title run and his first Intercontinental Title victory since 2013. He held the title for 167 days for his first run.
