Shun Skywalker wins MLW gold.
On September 18, MLW made its Atlanta with the Super Series television tapings, which were held at the Space Event Center at 6100 Live Oak Pkwy in Norcross, Georgia
Airing on December 8, Shun Skywalker beat Myron Reed to win the MLW World Middleweight Championship at the taping. In doing so, Skywalker, a former Open The Dream Gate Champion, captured his first title in MLW.

MLW previously announced a partnership with Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling in 2021. Stars like La Estrella have competed at MLW shows, and alongside Skywalker, SB KENTo was set to compete at the Super Series tapings.
Reed previously won the gold at the Blood and Thunder taping in January; he defeated Bandido, Matt Cross, and Tajiri to begin his third reign as the MLW World Middleweight Championship.
