Io Shirai and Toni Storm are set to battle in the Finals of the Second Annual Mae Young Classic.
The two ladies outlasted the field of 32, winning four matches across two nights for the right to meet in the Finals. The showdown between Shirai and Storm will go down on Oct. 28 at the first-ever all female WWE pay-per-view Evolution. While not official, the bout becomes the first match to be added to the card.
Shirai, a former STARDOM champion, signed with WWE in June. Storm appeared at the NXT UK events in July.
The Mae Young Classic will begin airing on the WWE Network at Wednesday, Sept. 5, immediately following NXT. A bracketology episode featuring Mauro Ranallo and Beth Phoenix will air on Aug. 29 at 9 p.m. ET. Phoenix will join Renee Young and Michael Cole as part of this year's commentary team for The Classic.
