STARDOM Announces Merger With NJPW Is Complete, Company Now A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary Of NJPW

The merger is complete.

In April, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that they were fully acquiring Bushiroad Fight, the parent company of STARDOM. Bushiroad Fight would be renamed STARDOM, and the merger was set to be completed on June 28. In the announcement, it was stated that the goal of the acquisition was to, "Improve operating efficiency and reduce redundancies within Bushiroad’s sports unit."

On June 28, STARDOM confirmed that the merger had been completed, so STARDOM became a wholly-owned subsidiary of NJPW.

STARDOM previously joined the Bushiroad group in 2019, and the two companies have collaborated several times ever since. They held their first co-promoted event, Historic X-Over, in November 2022.
