Steph De Lander Recalls Wrestling In Front Of Ron DeSantis At WWE Performance Center

Steph De Lander recalls WWE NXT Superstars putting on an event for Ron DeSantis and his family at the WWE Performance Center.

Steph De Lander, formerly known as Persia Pirotta in WWE NXT, has revealed that NXT Superstars once held an event on a Saturday morning at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, because Florida governor Ron DeSantis and his family wanted to see a wrestling show.

De Lander revealed this in an interview with VICE's Australia & New Zealand outlet. However, the former Persia Pirotta does not specify when exactly the event took place.

"I've wrestled in front of him. I've wrestled for DeSantis," she said. "I did meet him, yeah. He came to the PC once. We got called in on Saturday that Ron DeSantis wanted to have a wrestling show for his kids. So him and his family came in, and they sat front row, and we all beat each other up on a Saturday morning because he wanted to take his kids to see the wrestling.

"It is funny," she continued. "If he becomes president, then I've technically wrestled in front of the president."

Ron DeSantis is currently running to be the Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential election. Former president and WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump is also running to be the Republican nominee.

While it isn't specified when this occurred, the Performance Center routinely puts on practice shows for the trainees to gain more experience. The WWE Performance Center is also the home of WWE NXT every Tuesday night.

Also, during the global pandemic, WWE hosted all of its television shows and pay-per-views at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando before moving to the ThunderDome setup at WWE SummerSlam in 2020.

Steph De Lander was released by WWE in 2022. She is currently on the independent circuit, making a name for herself alongside Matt Cardona. Fans can read what she has to say about her time in WWE here.
