On Tuesday, Stephanie announced her resignation as Co-CEO of WWE. Stephanie took a leave of absence from WWE in May 2022, but returned as Co-CEO in July 2022 when Vince McMahon announced his retirement from the company amid sexual misconduct and hush money allegations.
Vince McMahon officially returned to the board of directors on January 6, claiming he needed to return to help lead the upcoming round of media rights negotiations. Vince is the controlling shareholder of the company.
WWE put out a press release on Thursday evening announcing they have "engaged outside advisors to support review of strategic alternatives," mentioning that media rights negotiations are coming up. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H reportedly opposed a potential sale of the company.
Fightful wishes Stephanie the best in her recovery.
