Stephanie Vaquer officially signed with WWE in July after making a name for herself in CMLL and competing at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door against Mercedes Mone.
Vaquer was the reigning CMLL World Women's Champion and CMLL World Women's Tag Team Champion at the time of her WWE signing.
Speaking with Noticias 24, Vaquer explained her decision to sign with WWE.
“I'll be very honest. Since I was a child, my dream was to sign for WWE. But you grow up, you can't be guided by the dreams you had when you were 9 years old. To be a complete wrestler, I was missing being in WWE. I came to NXT because it was the best women's division in existence," she said.
