Steve Austin is cool with getting arrested in Madison Square Garden.
On Monday's episode of WWE Raw, Steve Austin returned to Madison Square Garden, home of some of his most famous WWE moments. Austin wrestled Bret Hart and The Undertaker, refereed the infamous Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg WrestleMania 20 bout, and delivered the Stunner to Vince McMahon for the first time in MSG. Following the Stunner to McMahon, Austin was hauled out of the arena in handcuffs.
"Hell, they arrested me the same night I hit Vince with the Stunner," Austin recalled in an interview with WWE backstage during Raw. "I've been arrested all over the United States. [MSG] is my favorite place to get arrested in. I don't want to tell anybody to go out there and get arrested, but if you're going to do it, [MSG] is the place to do it. It's good to be here. Everybody knows I'm not a sentimental guy, but this is Madison Square Garden. We had a family reunion in Florida and to come back out here and be amongst the guys and gals with the spotlight on them; I'm like a kid in the candy store."
Austin delivered his latest Stunner to AJ Styles in the opening segment of Raw. This time, he was not taken away by the police.
"To hit his smart ass with a Stunner meant everything to me. You had about 18,000 people calling him an asshole. He is exactly that, personified. To ring him up felt good."
"Stone Cold" closed the show alongside Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, Cedric Alexander, and The Viking Raiders, leading a beer bash with the five-men.
