Sting makes a bold prediction.
Several AEW stars appeared at AEW All In Texas: Countdown to On Sale and shared their thoughts about AEW's upcoming stadium show. Among others, AEW original Darby Allin is especially excited about the event.
At AEW All In Texas: Countdown to On Sale, Darby Allin discussed his time in AEW and looked forward to climbing Mount Everest. Sting then came to the stage and spoke highly of Allin. He predicted that Allin would win the AEW World Championship in 2025.
“You, I’ve always known from day one, you are world championship caliber. I knew from the very beginning. Yeah, you had to come up some, and you’ve come up a ton in the last few years. But I knew that you would someday become the world heavyweight champion. Sometime in 2025, I am predicting this is the future AEW World Champion right here. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be world champion at Globe Life [Field], 2025, at All In," Sting said.
Sting also teased that he could potentially appear at AEW All In Texas, but he said he would not return to the ring.
Allin and Sting previously were paired up together throughout Sting's AEW run. They won the AEW World Tag Team Championship and successfully defended them in Stings's last match at AEW Revolution 2024. There, they defeated the Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson).
Allin is currently competing in the AEW Continental Classic. He is set to face Will Ospreay at AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash.
In October, Sting announced that he signed a multi-year deal with AEW. Check out his comments here.
