Swerve Strickland says Tony Khan investing in him means more than people will ever know.
Swerve Strickland previously had a prominent run in WWE, as he led the Hit Row stable. WWE released him in a wave of cuts in 2021, but his career has reached new heights since he signed with AEW in 2022. Strickland won the AEW World Championship at AEW Dynasty, and he continues to reign supreme.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland commented on the biggest difference he experienced from WWE to AEW.
“TV time, that’s an investment. Tony Khan gave me that. He gave me that with top talent. Top tag team talent. Top managerial talent. Rick Ross. Everywhere, all throughout the show. That’s what everyone wants, and Tony Khan offered that to me. When you don’t get that, it crushes your spirit. I could ask for a minute in a promo, and Tony would give it to me. That means more than people will ever know," Swerve Strickland said.
Swerve Strickland has expressed his interest in facing Bryan Danielson. Check out his comments here.
