Swerve Strickland: Over The Last Year, I Was The Best Thing To Happen To Hangman Page

Swerve Strickland speaks on Hangman Page and their rivalry.

At AEW All Out, Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland faced off in a blow off Lights Out Match inside a steel cage. The bout would end with Hangman smashing Swerve in the head with a steel chair, something that took Swerve out of action up until AEW WrestleDream on October 12th. Swerve would rebuke MVP's offer to join him, stating that Nana is family and that he was cleared for action.

During the AEW WrestleDream post show media scrum, Swerve was asked about Hangman with the former AEW World Champion stating he was the best thing to happen to Hangman Page over the past year.

"Right now, I think a lot of things have been settled, but there is a small minute piece that still hasn’t been settled with him. He can have that victory. He can that unsanctioned victory over me. I have two legit victories over him. I’m always going to hold that over his head. Another thing was, over the last year, I was the best thing to happen to Hangman Page. If you look at All Out last year, he was on Zero Hour doing a battle royal. I brought him to the main event. Just like I did with Will Ospreay."

Hangman also featured on AEW WrestleDream, facing off with Jay White in singles competition. You can read more about that here.

Elsewhere in the WrestleDream post match press conference, Swerve noted that Shelton Benjamin is his first order of business. You can read more about that here.
