Now that she's graduated high school, there is little to stop Brooks from continuing her upward climb as one of women's wrestling's newest stars on the rise. She is on the cusp of an upward trajectory in the Indy Scene with appearing on AEW programming and holding championship gold in her own right. Don't let her looks fool you, she's here to fight and to win. With a foundation of fundamentals, learning in-ring psychology, innate athleticism, passion for wrestling, and lightning-fast strikes, Brooks is one you'll want to keep your eye on in the year to come!
Notorious Mimi:
Notorious Mimi, previously known as Sloan Jacobs for WWE had previously been on my free agents to watch out for list prior to 2022. To me, she us a missed opportunity that can be one of the biggest comebacks you can recall in recent memory if executed properly. Notorious Mimi is a gem in the crown of Monster Factory and is a credit to her training. Her unique look and work ethic set her on a level of her own. She has a cool versatility about her that makes her fun to watch and compete against. As a woman in wrestling and as an author, I see great potential in Notorious Mimi both story-wise and in the ring. She is young and she is hungry. She has garnered attention for her fierce in-ring style. Her hard-hitting moves and unyielding determination have earned her a reputation as a formidable competitor on the rise. All she is lacking is the right place to call home and to grow into her fullest potential as a star!
Viva Van:
The Hell-Bent Vixen Viva Van, is a rising star with an enigmatic aura. She possesses a magnetism that draws fans in. Her unconventional wrestling style, infused with elements of lucha libre and high-flying maneuvers, showcases her versatility and creativity as well as her individuality. Fresh off of a career defining match at Triplemania, Viva Van is putting both the wrestling and lucha Libre scenes on notice. As a multi-company champion right now, Viva Van is amassing a dream-like resume that some can't create in their wildest dreams. She is rising to each and every occasion as she continues to come into her own personally and professionally and honestly I'm all for it. College graduate. Business owner. Rising star! Viva Van is shining bright and her moment is coming very very soon!
Alex Gracia:
The Pink Dream Alex Gracia, is another star who has previously been on my to look out for lists for Fightful.com and their magazine. She made her appearance as part of my rising stars list in that issue. And in my opinion, she's still the true embodiment of resilience and determination. Alex has overcome numerous obstacles over the last few years to establish herself as a rising star. Her high-energy style and infectious enthusiasm have endeared her to fans worldwide. She has a fun spunky attitude and a wrestling style to back it up. Her unique look and moveset sets her apart. Many claim to love wrestling, but in my experience, few ever match Alex Gracia's eagerness to learn, adapt, overcome, evolve, and succeed. All while also trying to make wrestling a better place. Similarly to Notorious Mimi, once the right company bets on Gracia, they'll have a loyal star who will rise to unforeseen heights. From Mexico to Japan to AEW and WWE, aad founding her own cosmetics business, she's done it all and still has one of the most refreshing attitudes I've seen in today's women's wrestling.
So as we anticipate 2024, the wrestling world should take notice and be abuzz with excitement for the emergence of these four impeccable e free agents. Brittnie Brooks, Notorious Mimi, Viva Van, and Alex Gracia. Each possess the talent, charisma, and dedication necessary to make a lasting impact on the industry. Their unique styles, captivating personas, and ability to connect with audiences set them apart as individuals to watch closely. As they continue to hone their craft and push the boundaries of what is expected and what their dreams are in this business, I stand by what I mean when I say that I'd be proud to have them in my locker room...
