With AEW running unopposed on Wednesday night, the company boasted over one million viewers for their recent AEW Dynamite episode on TnT Drama. The stars were humbled and proud of the response they got as they brought themselves to new performing heights all in the name of AEW. From the return of Kris Statlander after almost a year to Matt Hardy and Darby Allin to The Young Bucks and beyond, two very such stars of the many were Red Velvet and Jade Cargill. Red Velvet an AEW mainstay who was recently rewarded for her hard work by way of a well-deserved AEW contract, and Jade Cargill - a powerful force to be reckoned with rising up the ranks in the AEW Women's Division. Both ladies came to fight and collide they did in their match on AEW Dynamite.
Red Velvet and Jade Cargill have both been impressing upon AEW fans their dedication to Pro Wrestling as they've clashed for months and continue to elevate themselves each other. With such a large division as well as numerous competitors coming and going vying for the chance to secure their own AEW contracts, it can be hard to stand out. However, as I've previously said in prior Fightful.com articles, Red Velvet and Jade Cargill both individually and combined get better and better growing with every AEW appearance. Leading up to this most recent AEW Dynamite it was clear to me that both ladies have been paying their dues, studying tape, and crushing some major in ring time.
In that point alone I'm very happy to write this article featuring this duo. One of the many reasons are their attitudes and their work ethic. As someone who paid dues, trained hard, set up rings, seminars, and studied tape, I waste no opportunity to high five and show love for others I see doing those very same things all in the pursuit of like-minded idyllic dreams in Pro Wrestling. Don't believe me? Scroll through their social platforms and see the results of their in ring time. Look deep and see Jade Cargill asking social media for feuds/match recommendations to study the tape. The result can be seen in Red Velvet versus Jade Cargil.
To my mind, with over one million people tuned in, resulting in a big spike in ratings, these two rose up to meet the challenge where some could have felt the pressure and failed. All in all these two ladies crushed peoples' expectations from their mixed tag match with Shaq and Cody Rhodes and did so again in their singles match on AEW Dynamite. A credit to the work they're putting in which shows they aren't taking their spots on the roster for granted. When watching their singles match I was extremely stoked to see the old school psychology play out telling a very good David vs Goliath story that highlighted their strengths and protected their weaknesses. Kudos to whomever their agent was! Again, in my opinion, there is certainly more to come from these two as they continue to grow into their fullest potentials as superstars within the industry as well as the AEW Women's Division. I anticipate their journeys being filled with opportunities to rise, further elevating themselves to even better heights as performers. Stay tuned as both ladies continue to fight their way up the ranks of the AEW Women's Division along with Britt Baker, Tay Conti, Hikaru Shida, Abadon, Nyla Rose, Big Swole, Thunder Rosa, Anna Jay, and more!
